Our tests show that a server with 1 GB of RAM and 2 cores carries about ten participants, on an entry-level Intel Atom processor, and that 6 vCPU are needed for 450 to 500. The test protocol is published and reproducible. You can therefore reuse existing hardware for the smaller instances.
